    Fenwick World Class Fly Rods

COLUMBIA, S.C. (June 30, 2016)  Just last year Fenwick® introduced the World Class family of high-performance fast-action fly rods and the reception by fly anglers has been great. Fenwick is expanding the line up to offer more versions from a 7-foot 3-weight to a 13-foot, 6-inch 8/9 weight.

3M® Powerlux® 500 technology and composites.give the blanks fast action. Nano sized spheres of silica combined with graphite fibers make the rods lighter and more powerful.

AAA cork is used for the reverse halfwell split grip on the 3- to 6-weight models and the extended full well handle on certain models. Double-handed World Class rods measure from 11 feet, 6 inches to 13 feet, 6 inches. The rods also feature a secure, exotic hardwood reel seat design. The butt cap is laser engraved with the Fenwick logo.

The line now contains 27 models and are all either 4 or 6 piece. They come in a cloth-covered tube and bag.

New St. Croix SOLE Fly Fishing Rod

It was the winner at Icast this year for flyrods. the rod a new concpet. A 28″ tip than fists on the end of the rod. Reducing a 9′ rod to 6.5′ ,but retaining most of the great action from a single blank rod. Tip replacement is easy if it breaks as St Croix supplies an extra tip with each rod.

The carbon fibers are cut  on a computer guided cutting table.

St. Croix pro Chad LaChance, host of Fishful Thinker TV, filed this report: “When I first picked up St Croix’s new SOLE fly rod my first thought was how much difference could refining a ferrule really make? And then I cast it…and cast it, and cast it again. The power and control is fantastic, while the smoothness lulls you into casting more and more. Long casts or short, tight loops or lazy rolls, SOLE just begs you to keep casting.”

    Key Sole features include:
